Appointment Policy

Booking Appointments and Cancellations

  1. Appointment Booking: All appointments must be scheduled through our online booking system. A nonrefundable deposit is required to confirm your reservation.
  2. Cancellation and Rescheduling: To cancel or reschedule an appointment for a later date, you must do so at least 24 hours in advance to avoid forfeiture of your deposit.
  3. Late Arrivals: If you arrive more than 30 minutes later than your scheduled appointment time, we will need to reschedule your appointment, and your deposit will be forfeited.
  4. No-Show and Last-Minute Cancellations: Failure to show up for your appointment or canceling within two hours of your reserved time will result in the forfeiture of your deposit, and an additional deposit may be required for future bookings.

Vaccination Policy

  1. Pet Vaccinations: All pets entering our facility must be properly vaccinated against rabies, Bordetella, Parvo, and Distemper. We require documented proof of vaccinations to comply with the law and ensure the safety of our staff and other pets.

Safety and Medical Care

  1. Pet Safety: Your pet’s safety and well-being are our top priorities. While grooming, unexpected medical issues may arise or existing conditions may be aggravated. In such cases, we reserve the right, in the best interest of your pet, to seek immediate veterinary treatment at the owner’s expense, even without prior permission.

Fleas, Ticks, and Vaccines

  1. Rabies Vaccination: Current rabies vaccination documentation is mandatory. Please provide the required documentation before or at the appointment. We do not mandate additional vaccines or flea/tick preventatives; it is the responsibility of the pet owner to ensure their pet’s protection. If fleas are detected, a flea bath will be administered at an additional cost of at least $20. We are not liable for any flea infestations; pet owners should take necessary precautions.

Hair Coloring

  1. Coloring Disclaimer: Hair coloring products may yield varying results on different coat types, resulting in differences in shade and vibrancy. The duration of color retention also depends on factors such as coat type, breed, and pet activity. Color transfer to other surfaces may occur when wet. We use only pet-safe products, but it’s important to be aware of potential reactions in any pet.

Matted Fur

  1. Matting Concerns: Severely tangled or matted fur poses risks of injury, stress, and trauma to pets. While we take all precautions, if your pet is deemed matted, we will need to shave the hair. We do not offer de-matting services. Problems like nicks, clipper irritation, or stress may occasionally occur during or after grooming.

Pet Handling and Behavior

  1. Pet Handling: We take necessary precautions to ensure the safety of your pet during grooming. A handling fee of $20-$100 may be applied if a pet is deemed difficult or aggressive. Senior dogs (aged 8 and older) have a higher risk of injury and stress during grooming. In the event of a pet bite, the appointment will be canceled, and the owner is responsible for the full cost and handling fee, even if the grooming isn’t completed. We reserve the right to refuse service to any pet as necessary.

Appointment Duration and Pickup

  1. Appointment Timing: The grooming process typically takes approximately 2.5 hours. We will call you when the appointment is complete. Please refrain from picking up your pet until you receive our call. Pets picked up more than two hours after the call or after closing time will incur a $15 daycare fee.

Mobile Grooming

Acknowledgment and Liability

  1. Confirmation of Agreement: By setting an appointment online or signing this document, you confirm that you have read and agree to Robin’s Groomingdales’ policies. The grooming salon or groomer will not be held financially responsible for any vet bills or procedures.

Daycare and Overnight Boarding

Payment and Contact Information

  1. Daycare and Boarding: All daycare and boarding clients are required to pay in advance and provide emergency contact information along with a vet reference in Atlanta.
  2. Daycare and Overnight Boarding Hours: Daycare operates from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m ($32 to $45)., while overnight boarding is from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 a.m. The fees are $20 for small dogs and $25 for large dogs for daycare, and $25 for small dogs and $30 for large dogs for overnight boarding. Additional charges apply if pets are not picked up within the specified timeframes.
